Sleep Max — Terms & Refunds

Last updated 25 July 2026

The short version: The CBT-I program is free. Sleep Max Plus is an optional subscription you can cancel at any time, and cancelling always keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for. Sleep Max is a self-help tool, not medical care.

1. Who we are

Sleep Max ("Sleep Max", "we", "us") is a sleep-improvement application available on the web and on mobile app stores. You can reach us at admin@solarityai.com.

2. Using Sleep Max

You may use Sleep Max if you are 16 or older. The free experience — including the guided CBT-I program, sleep diary, insights, and soundscapes — requires no account and stores your data on your own device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure; because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot recover it if you delete the app or clear your browser storage.

3. Sleep Max Plus, billing & auto-renewal

Sleep Max Plus is optional and unlocks additional features. Current plans:

PlanPriceRenews
Monthly$4.99Every month, automatically
Annual$39.99Every year, automatically
Lifetime$99.00One-time payment, never renews

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply in your location. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We tell you the price and the renewal terms before you pay, and we do not change the price of an active subscription without notifying you first.

Purchases made on the web are processed by Stripe. Purchases made inside the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms. We never receive or store your full card details.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, and you keep Plus access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Cancelling stops future charges. It does not delete anything you created.

5. Refunds

If Sleep Max Plus isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it in full — no argument, no justification needed. Beyond 14 days we look at refund requests case by case and try to be fair, especially where a charge was unexpected or a feature did not work.

Purchases made through Apple or Google are refunded by them under their policies, because they process those payments — we cannot issue those refunds directly, though we're happy to help you file the request.

6. Health disclaimer — please read

Sleep Max is a self-help tool based on CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia). It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified clinician.

Sleep restriction — a standard part of CBT-I — can cause daytime sleepiness. Do not begin the program without speaking to a doctor first if you have a seizure disorder, bipolar disorder, untreated sleep apnea, or a job where sleepiness would be dangerous (for example driving or operating machinery). If your sleep problems persist, worsen, or come with distressing symptoms, please see a clinician. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency service.

Sleep Max never prescribes a sleep window shorter than 5 hours 30 minutes, whatever your sleep efficiency works out to. That floor is the most safety-relevant number in the protocol and the app enforces it in code, not as a guideline. You can always stop the program or widen your own window; nothing here obliges you to keep a schedule that is making you unsafe.

7. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the service: no reverse engineering, no reselling access, no automated scraping or abuse of our APIs, and no attempts to break the security of the app or its backend. We may suspend access that damages the service or other users.

8. Accounts and the community

You can use Sleep Max with no account at all. If you create one, you must be 13 or older, and 16 or older to use the community features — the forum, direct messages and public profiles. You are responsible for what you post and send, and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour here. People come to Sleep Max at three in the morning, often in bad shape. That is who the rules protect. Do not post or send:

Reporting and blocking. Every post, reply and message has a report control, and you can block any account from your side at any time — blocking never requires our involvement and never tells the other person. Reported content is reviewed, content reported by several people is hidden automatically pending review, and we aim to act on reports within 24 hours.

What we do about it. We remove content that breaks these rules and we suspend or permanently remove the accounts of people who post it, without refund and without notice where the behaviour is serious. This is at our discretion, and we will always err on the side of the person being harmed.

If you are in crisis, Sleep Max is not an emergency service and no one here is on call. The app lists crisis lines; please use them, or your local emergency number. Other people in the forum are not a substitute for care.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store and display it inside Sleep Max so the feature works. Deleting your account removes your posts and messages from our servers.

9. Availability & changes

We work to keep Sleep Max available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or a specific health outcome. Features may change as the app improves. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

10. Your data

Sleep Max is local-first: with no account, your sleep data stays on your device. An account syncs some of it so the social features can work, and your notes, heart rate, HRV and sleep stages stay on your device either way. You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from Settings at any time. See the Privacy & Billing policy for exactly what is and isn't synced.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change we'll update the date at the top and, where the change affects your subscription, tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sleep Max after a change means you accept the updated terms.
